Our appointment system will, if at all possible, allow you to receive an appointment on the same day. Please telephone us on 01342 822131 from 8.30am on the day you would like to be seen, or call in at reception.
When you get in touch, we'll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
To increase availability of appointments the doctors will continue to offer telephone consultations. You may find this a useful alternative to having to travel to the health centre. Telephone appointments are available for you to discuss on-going conditions and results that do not require a face to face appointment with a GP. Please note telephone consultations are at specific times and do vary, you will be advised of an estimated time for the call.
Each day one doctor is our duty doctor to deal with urgent appointments and visits, so surgery times can change as that doctor will be less available for non-urgent appointments. Urgent Telephone appointments with the duty doctor are also available, however, these are restricted to urgent matters only and the timings may alter.
There will still be the option to pre-book a few appointments in advance, especially for patients who have difficulty attending or who need to arrange lifts or wish to see a specific doctor etc.
Appointments Online
Access SystmOnline
Patients must register for this service; please speak to a member of the reception team for registration details.
Online appointments are available to book in advance as well as “on the day”. Appointments are released and made available online daily at 6.00am, 8.30am and 1.30pm
Due to the vast skill set of specific nurses, it is not possible to book appointments on-line with our nurses as the length of appointments vary depending on conditions.
Home Visits
If possible please try to come to the surgery as we can offer more comprehensive care here. If you are too ill to come to the surgery a home visit can be arranged by telephoning (01342) 822131 before 10.30am so that the duty doctor can arrange visits to avoid having to visit the same area twice. Explaining what is wrong to the receptionist will help the doctor to see the most urgent cases first. Please give your name, address and telephone number. The doctor may telephone you to assess clinical need prior to visiting.
